Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)
Care Guide

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) flooring is a popular choice due to its durability, easy maintenance, and versatility. To keep your LVT flooring looking its best and to prolong its lifespan, follow these general care tips.

Regular Sweeping or Vacuuming

Regularly remove loose dirt, dust, and debris by sweeping or vacuuming your LVT flooring. Use a soft-bristle broom or a vacuum cleaner with a hard floor setting to prevent scratching the surface. Avoid using vacuums with beater bars or brushes, as they can damage the flooring.

Gentle Cleaning

For routine cleaning, damp-mop your LVT flooring using a mild pH-neutral cleaner specifically formulated for LVT or vinyl flooring. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and use a well-wrung mop or microfiber cloth to avoid excessive moisture on the floor.

Immediate Spill Cleanup

Quickly wipe up spills and liquid messes to prevent them from seeping into the seams or causing stains. Use a soft, absorbent cloth or paper towel to blot the spill gently. For stubborn stains, follow the manufacturer's guidelines on recommended stain removal products or techniques.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals and Abrasives

Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scrub brushes that can damage the surface of your LVT flooring. Stay away from wax-based products, as they can leave residue and make the floor slippery. Instead, use mild cleaning solutions specifically designed for LVT floors.

Prevention is Key

Place doormats at entrances to trap dirt and prevent it from being tracked onto your LVT flooring. Consider using area rugs or mats in high-traffic areas or under dining tables to protect the floor from wear and tear.

Avoid Excessive Moisture

While LVT flooring is water-resistant, it's important to avoid excessive moisture or standing water. Clean up spills promptly and avoid using excessive water during cleaning. Use mats or rugs in areas prone to moisture, such as entryways or near sinks.
